As a University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH) student, you’re going to love completing your Phase 2 block at Gundersen Health System. Get ready for 3 months of hands-on, individualized learning at our flagship hospital—a tertiary referral and level II Trauma Center in La Crosse—and neighboring regional clinics.

Our world-class providers train the next generation of physician assistants (PAs). You’ll practice medicine in partnership with our advanced practice providers invested in your education as you begin your career improving patients’ lives.

UWSMPH Phase 3 students can participate in a wide range of hospital-based and clinical elective and selective rotations. Comprehensive opportunities are available in inpatient and outpatient environments.

We offer University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH) Phase 3 students comprehensive inpatient rotations at our flagship hospital, a tertiary referral and level II Trauma Center, in La Crosse.

Please apply for an M4 Sub-Internship at least 3 months before your intended start date.
