Interior highlights of the new facility
Connecting with the outdoors
The primary concept in the design of the new facility is to make the most of the natural beauty of the location. Many internal and external elements resonate with one another, and the main lobby is a prime example of this concept.
The main lobby
The lobby will have an open floor plan and continue up into the second floor, promoting a sense of openness. Large, high-efficiency windows will provide a bright, welcoming atmosphere to all patients and visitors while allowing them to still feel connected to the natural beauty of the location.
A circular drop-off area will provide a safe and protected area for patients and visitors to be dropped off for appointments. Individuals may also take advantage of our free valet service.
Over 150 off-street parking spaces will be located on the campus, improving patient safety and convenience.
Improved emergency access
The Emergency Department will have its own entrance on the east side of the facility. This entrance will benefit from secure, round-the-clock access, sheltered drop-off area and nine off-street parking spaces. An ambulance garage will provide safe and secure access for patients being transferred by ambulance.
The Emergency Department will also benefit from internal security measures, allowing access to the main hospital to be controlled after hours.
Patients and visitors get the best seats in the house
The healing views and natural beauty of Field Veterans Memorial Lake were at the heart of almost every design decision. As a result, patients and visitors will be treated to panoramic views of Field Veterans Memorial Lake from their hospital bed or the clinic waiting room.
The registration areas within the hospital have been designed with the patient in mind. These areas will benefit from improved privacy, comfort and access and are designed to easily adjust with the anticipated changes in technology.
