Supervised Exercise Therapy
Supervised Exercise Therapy (SET) is a 12-week program for people who have been diagnosed with symptomatic peripheral arterial disease (PAD). This is a primary treatment for those who suffer from PAD. Most insurance covers the program.
The goals of SET are:
- Learn the importance of exercise, specifically walking, for reducing symptoms
- Help you set up a safe, individualized walking program and goals
- Decrease leg pain
- Improve exercise tolerance
- Improve quality of life
- Control other health problems that affect daily life
Supervised Exercise Therapy is on Level 6 of the Gundersen Clinic in La Crosse.
