Gundersen Medical Journal

Gundersen Medical Journal (GMJ) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary archival journal published by the Gundersen Medical Foundation. To this end, manuscripts considered for publication are sought from any medical or surgical specialty or subspecialty, or any health-related field. Manuscripts may be based upon but are not limited to:

  • original, data-driven, high quality, randomized or nonrandomized, controlled trials
  • systematic reviews or meta-analyses
  • clinical outcome studies
  • tutorials
  • case reports
  • historical reports
  • letters to the editor

The Journal will also consider "vignette" or "how I do it" papers, pieces designed to provide the readership with "pearls," rationale, and/or techniques for a given procedure or examination. They may be based upon research, upon clinical experience, or both. Interesting imaging studies accompanied by a brief descriptive or explanatory text are appropriate, as well. Submission constitutes assurance that the manuscript is unpublished, that it is not under consideration elsewhere, and, upon acceptance, transfers copyright to the Journal. Please refer to the Instructions for Authors for details about manuscript preparation and submission. The Journal is edited to conform to the AMA Manual of Style, 10th Edition.

Any comments related to the Journal may be directed to the editor.
