The Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care, supported by Gundersen Medical Foundation, is accepting nominations for the annual Paula J. Tower Memorial Award.

The award honors the legacy of Paula Tower, a mammography technologist at Gundersen, who lost her three-year battle with breast cancer in 2007. It's given annually to one person who exemplifies the selfless giving of time and energy to advance the message of hope for a future without breast cancer.

Submit an application online, email it to Tia Sneath at [email protected] or by mail at Gundersen Medical Foundation Attn: Tia Sneath, 1836 South Ave., C03-006, La Crosse, WI 54601, by Aug. 3.

Nomination requirements:

  • Your name, address and phone number
  • Nominee's name, address and phone number. The nominee must live in Iowa, Minnesota or Wisconsin.
  • Detailed description of how the nominee gave time and energy to help support local breast cancer programs or influenced our community by dealing with breast cancer education, screening, treatment and/or support programs.
