Gundersen neurology care now available at Gundersen Moundview

Tuesday, July 23, 2019

Gundersen Moundview Hospital and Clinics has expanded its specialty services with Kara Tower, DO, who sees patients with brain or nervous systems injuries and neurological diseases.

Dr. Tower can see patients in Friendship for management of multiple sclerosis, seizures, Parkinson's disease, tremors, migraines, post-stroke/TIA care and more.

Working closely with Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurosurgery and other departments, Dr. Tower can determine the best method of treatment, which includes medications and supplements, therapy or other specialty needs depending on the patient's needs.

"The goal of treatment is sometimes curative but is often aimed at chronic management of neurological disease to limit pain, physical limitations or other concerns," Dr. Tower said. "The overall goal is for optimized quality of life for the individual."
