Palmer Homecare provider with patient

Specializing in hometown, local service

Your Gundersen Palmer Lutheran Homecare services in Oelwein have relocated to a more prominent location—for the convenience of patients, their families and the community. The new location is 230 Second Ave. SE, right next to Fareway.

Gundersen Palmer Homecare is pleased to announce the move, which also expands offerings in healthcare-related retail. You’ll find all the same quality home health equipment plus an expanded line of health retail offerings— from essential oils and aromatherapy to Vionic Shoes and compression socks with fun design patterns to make you smile and keep you on your feet.

At the new location:

Our home medical supply and equipment professional staff of respiratory therapists, registered nurses and certified technicians provide expert evaluation and aid in the selection and fitting of equipment to meet the needs of every patient. We offer repair and maintenance on all equipment we rent and sell, and honor manufacturer warranties.

Gundersen Palmer Home Health is a nonprofit, Medicare-certified home health service that provides quality, personalized care through skilled therapeutic services and equipment. We meet the needs of patients of all ages, including personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation and respite care. We provide supportive services to people recovering from an illness and support to patients with chronic illnesses or conditions. All services are supervised by your physician and are available in your home or in assisted living.

Gundersen Palmer Community Health serves Fayette County and works to help people stay healthy by promoting healthy communities and environments through initiatives with other community organizations. We provide information and services that encourage people to make healthy choices in nutrition, fitness, prenatal care and more; and help improve the health of mothers and children through a supplemental nutrition (WIC) program, health screenings and immunizations for children. The popular Happy Feet foot care program will continue in the new location with expanded hours. Openings are available!

Gundersen Palmer Hospice is a Medicare-certified, nonprofit organization that supports and cares for patients and their families in the final phases of a terminal illness. Hospice can be provided at home, nursing homes, hospitals and assisted living facilities.
