The best marinated shrimp recipe

Makes 8 servings.

Ingredients

2 tsp. ground paprika

2 Tbsp. minced garlic

2 tsp. Italian seasoning blend

2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

¼ cup olive oil

½ tsp. ground black pepper

2 tsp. dried basil leaves

2 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed

2 lbs. raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Preparation

Measure all ingredients except the shrimp into a two-gallon freezer bag. Seal bag and squish with your hands to mix ingredients well. Add shrimp to bag, seal tightly, and shake and turn bag so all shrimp pieces are well coated with marinade. Refrigerate for two hours or overnight.

Remove shrimp and discard marinade when ready to cook. Either grill shrimp for a few minutes on each side, or saute in pan on the stove on medium-high heat until shrimp turn white.
