The registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 18, 2019. Advance registration is required. Registration fees include light breakfast, lunch and certificate. An email will be sent the week of the conference to registered participants with parking information and other details about the conference.

Course Objectives

  • Describe the use of High Sensitivity Troponin T (hsTnT) in triaging the risk stratifying patients with symptoms suggestive of acute myocardial ischemia and infarction
  • Assess when to refer patients for further evaluation of PFO
  • Devise management for Heart Failure patients in acute and chronic settings
  • Determine which patients with syncope are high risk for recurrence, serious injuries, malignant arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death
  • Differentiate the role of cardiac imaging modalities in clinical practice
  • Summarize how to select from different types of stress tests in clinical practice
  • Synthesize a healthy diet plan for primary and secondary prevention of Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases
  • Create a plan for helping patients quit smoking

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be requested via email or phone prior to Oct. 18, 2019. A refund minus a $25 administration fee will be issued. No refunds will be made after Oct. 18, 2019.

If the 2019 Contemporary Issues in Cardiology & Vascular Disease symposium is postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of registration fees will be provided. Gundersen Medical Foundation Inc. will not be responsible for any related travel costs to the conference.
