Upon completion of this activity, attendees should be able to:
- Explain the concept and practice mindfulness
- Recognize conditions when the application of mindfulness practice in a healthcare setting is appropriate and when it would be contraindicated
- Describe how neuroscience research supports the efficacy of mindfulness-based approaches and share some key related research findings
- Repeat and use basic meditation practice
- Demonstrate the capacity to lead a client through a brief mindfulness meditation practice
- Identify relevant resources on mindfulness practice for yourself and your clients
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be requested via email or phone prior to Aug. 19, 2019. A refund minus a $25 administration fee will be issued. No refunds will be made after Aug. 19, 2019.
If Mindfulness…It's Not What You Think is postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of registration fees will be provided. Gundersen Medical Foundation Inc. will not be responsible for any related travel costs to the conference.
