Dr. Laursen is passionate about helping maximize your pediatric patients' quality of life, no matter what disorder is affecting their development. Dr. Laursen diagnoses conditions, develops personalized treatment plans and leads a team in delivering comprehensive care. This means collaborating with you and additional specialists to provide multidisciplinary treatment for a variety of conditions.

"My goal is to work with patients, their families and other providers involved in their care to enhance every child's treatment plan and support them to be as functional as possible," Dr. Laursen says. "Working with children is a true passion. Seeing them succeed in all environments, including at home, school and in adaptive sports, is very rewarding."

Just like no two children are alike, Dr. Laursen tailors your patients' treatment plan to meet their specific needs. Depending on the situation, Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation services may include medication management, botulinum toxin injections (to treat muscle stiffness, spasms and pain), consultation on appropriate equipment and bracing or a referral to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology.
