Videos help patients prepare for cancer treatment

Gundersen Health System is enhancing care for your patients newly diagnosed with cancer by shedding light on some of the most common questions patients ask prior to their first appointment with the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders.

A series of short videos is now available online to help patients better understand what to expect upon starting cancer treatment. The videos are intended to provide clarity and ease anxiety for patients during what may feel like an uncertain time in their life. Topics include introductions to Gundersen's:

  • Cancer Center
  • Infusion Services
  • Radiation Therapy

The videos are part of Gundersen's COMPASS program, a multi-disciplinary network of staff and resources for patients and families dealing with cancer. You can view the videos or share them with your patients.

For a consultation or referral appointment for your patients, contact the Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders via MedLink at (800) 336-5465 or 775-5465 in La Crosse.
