My only frustration was that I called to set up an appointment because of a flare up in my L eye. I also responded to communication from the Eye Dept prior to my appointment about my concerns. It appears that none of that information was passed on. Dr Whitford thought I was just there for an annual exam.

I am happy to have Dr. Whitford as my doctor, especially since I have been diagnosed with macular degeneration in my right eye. He is taking good care of me even though he seems very busy.

Looking forward to proceeding with the procedure.

Dr Whitford has a wonderful bedside manner. He was thorough and made me feel at ease. The dept seemed very busy and it did seem like I was rushed a bit from one room to another. More rooms are needed that have the same equipment. Was the room sanitized after each patient left? We were one right after the other in the same room(s)...it felt unsanitary, maybe they were cleaned but it didn't seem like it.

Everyone was very pleasant, courteous, and were very happy to answer any questions I had. I went in feeling a bit nervous about this procedure, but came out feeling much better.

Medical result exceeded the best case outcome. Overall a very positive experience. Highly recommend Dr. Whitford.

I am from another Gundersen System and I was VERY impressed with the quality of service I received. From the initial gentleman who checked me in to the wonderful, informative and kind nurse. Then the MD and an assistant came in and it was apparent that they looked at my history prior to coming in.! Wonderful experience!!!!

I just, I have complete faith in Dr. Whitford. I think he's a very good doctor. I just wish he'd say something about like what's going on or you know are my eyes okay or you know he never talks to me. He just does the procedure and you know I mean he greets me and that but I just wish he'd communicate a little bit but maybe he has nothing to add to the way it's been so I don't know. Thanks.

Procedure for surgery is NEW to me and I honestly felt like I was being rushed through the appointment. I felt not enough information was given to me regarding the procedure and the reasoning for the type of lens being used. I was also told there were cataracts in both eyes and don't understand why both are not being done (my guess was insurance?). In the end, I did not feel comfortable about the procedure, but will ask more questions during the pre-op phone call.

Same doctor who performed procedure 10 years ago. It was successful. Hope he can do it again. Thank you.

I was treated with respect and courtesy the entire time I was there. The medical staff explained to me in detail what was happening and what they either did or did not find. I was referred by the VA and the Dr. and technician had already reviewed my VA records and had a good understanding of my issues before seeing me. I trust this department fully,

I arrived 60 minutes early and staff treated me so nicely despite the fact that I was that early. Everyone was so very nice.

The appointment was on time, efficient and professional. The atmosphere was friendly.

Overall, it was a very good experience. The surgeon does seem very knowledgeable and probably because he does it all the time, every day, in and out, it's just routine for him. But with the patients, it's their eyes and they're very concerned about it. So maybe just a little more time in explaining what's going on, what to expect, what to expect afterward, that kind of thing is the only comment I'd probably have to make. Otherwise, I'm looking very forward to having the procedure done and having my eyes get back normal as much as possible.

Dr. Whitford was very person-centered in the way he explained the procedure and made me feel comfortable to ask questions. It was also very clear that he was knowledgeable and confident in the information he was providing and the performance of the procedure.

Provider and staff very thorough and nice but I felt my appointment and procedure was very rushed. Checked in on time but waited in room 20 minutes before anyone appeared again. Then rushed through greeting and down the hall!

I didn't know what to expect. But they told me there was no pain with this, and there was any pain. And I can see very clearly now.

The entire experience from the time I walked through the front door until I walked back out was fantastic. Everything clicked, with everyone I dealt with being totally professional, yet friendly.

Dr. Whitford and the staff were very patient and answered all the questions I thought to ask at the time. I realize their time is limited due to their schedule, so it seemed they were moving things along quickly. Overall a good experience. Just praying that the overall technology improves.

While the providers deal with multitudes of people every day, I was most pleased that they dealt with me as it was all new to me.

I felt that disappointment was rushed. On the way out he was telling me that everything looked great with my retinas, but I don't recall him looking at my retinas.

Been something I've been trying to get taken care of for awhile now but have just been sent to a different department every time. I'm so glad finally got someone who knew what was going on and took care of it in a very timely manner!!!

Dr Whitford was informative and professional while being friendly and caring. Hadn't seen him for four years and he walked in the room and knew my name so he obviously checked my record before seeing me. Highly recommend him.

Yes, I am. I mean I have complete faith in Dr. Whitford. I my only complaint and why I only gave him you know, not a highest, it could be, is I just wish that he would take the time to explain what's, where I'm at, how's it going. It's usually just one statement and he's out the door and I understand that they're busy and stuff. But you know sometimes I just want a little clarification, what's going on, that's all.

This was a difficult day for me due to a personal issue. I arrived late to my appointment but the receptionists were very kind and understanding. The techs were very good explaining what was going to be done at the appointment. The physician explained the surgery to me and was reassuring me that things would go well. Everyone's kindness and care this day helped me feel much better ! Thank you to all of them !

Very pleased with my visit

The whole experience was great. The nurse tried to move the chair since the patient was in a wheelchair. The optometry chair was not cooperating. But they were able to work around it. Then the Dr worked to do the procedure while patient stayed in chair. He even went and found some blankets to give her a boost in the chair to get her in a comfortable position. Overall everyone was helpful and made the appointment efficient. Thank you!
