Riley was born and raised in Polson, Montana, a small community just south of Glacier National Park. Riley was attracted to Gundersen because of its strong tradition in producing rural general surgeons and commitment to broad-based surgical training. In his free time, Riley enjoys fly fishing, hiking and spending time with his wife, Angela. Riley is also a commissioned Medical Corp officer in the U.S. Army National Guard and has a personal interest in veterans' health initiatives and advocacy.
