Both nurse and doctor were very personable and made the forthcoming procedure (colonoscopy, yuck!) seem less disgusting.

The nurse who took us back to the room seemed in a hurry. Had a hard time reading her demeanor, but finally got a friendly smile from her. Dr Yee was great, although he seemed almost to want to talk us out of doing the procedure. We had to really advocate our desire to proceed several times. In the end, he and his assistant were wonderful during the procedure! Very kind and explanatory, expedient and thorough. A great team!!! The only other comment would be during the procedure, several nurses came in and out of the room. I'm not sure why. Maybe to get supplies or ask a question to the nurse. It seemed disruptive and not really honoring the patient's privacy. Overall, we would give Dr. Yee and his assistant a great review! It was these extraneous moments that could be considered for improvement.

Dr Yee is a very kind and compassionate man who is dedicated to his work. It's unusual to find a surgeon who sits down and sees a person in front of him that he wants to get to know better. And then takes the time to do it. He sees people: not a patient, not a number. I saw him for a consult to have a colonoscopy, my 4th with him.He explains everything in his gentle nature and leaves you feeling relaxed. I hope he never leaves the Gunderson system.
