No Patient Experience Reviews – Why Not?

Gundersen Health System requires a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys in a 12-month period for each clinician before posting a clinician’s rating. Industry best practice is clear that more data provides a more accurate picture of the patient experience.

Personal Interests

Keaton grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota just outside Thief River Falls. During and after his undergraduate studies, he worked as a CNA, medical scribe and procurement technician. Keaton's interest in general surgery started after an eight-day hospitalization for a ruptured appendix. He enjoys backpacking, various outdoor activities, cooking, music, carpentry and woodworking.

Keaton matched at Gundersen the same time as his wife, Brooke, was accepted into CRNA school at Mayo Clinic Health System-La Crosse. What they loved about La Crosse and their respective programs is the exceptional camaraderie, wonderful people and, of course, the bluffs and Mississippi river. They enjoy their time together hiking, cooking, church, Sunday brunch and coffee shops.
