It was the first visit with the doctor since our other one retired. He was very nice and knowledgeable. His nurse was also very friendly and helpful.

I was running late and they were still willing to see me being a couple of minutes late! I still had plenty of time during my appointment to ask questions!

This was my first visit to this department and the physician and respiratory therapist would fantastic!! I was 3 minutes late getting to my appointment due to literally getting stuck in the Gundersen Parking ramp line to park. Then I had to wait 7 minutes for the receptionist to check me in as the person ahead of me had questions. When it was my turn to check in I was told she would have to see if they could still see me since I was late and the department was busy today? When she called the MA and said I was there it was very apparent by the receptionist response to the MA that I was an issue since I was late. When the receptionist says "oh I love the verbiage you use" that tells me as a patient I've been categorized for being late. Which I'm still questioning how I was late if my arrival time is 1:00 and my appointment time was 1:15 I'm technically still on time. I believe on my chart on appointments it should show both arrival time and appointment time just for verificationfor the patient. I apologized to the receptionist and the MA for being late and what happened because that is not my style at all and until I said it was my first time in the department did the MA somewhat change her tune. I know you can't remember everyone but if you know it's a person's first time in a department have a little empathy for them when they truly appear to be frustrated with themselves for being late due to no fault of their own and understand that its not my fault the receptionist had to take extra time with another patient so i would appreciate the same courtesy. I also explained how I had to switch to Gundersen due to insurance so I'm still becoming familiar with where things are, once that was said again tunes changed a bit but it shouldn't take that. I completely understand there are abusers of what is asked of patients but with technology now a days I'm sure there is a way to track that on a patients chart to know when maybe being a bit more stern with someone is warranted due to past circumstances but until then common courtesy is appreciated by all. Jacob Patty was great to work with and so was Courtney the Reapiratory Therapist they made my visit much better due to their demeanor. I've had great care since switching to Gundersen and I believe I still will get great care but I really struggled with the beginning of my appointment. I even questioned if I should mention it in this survey for fear of what I may be treated like in the future in this department but you can't fix something if you don't know it's broken. Again overall appointment accomplished what needed to be done and I'm grateful for that.

I have never had as much difficulty finding a place to park my vehicle as I did for this appointment. After finding a place to park several blocks away, I didm't know where the building was.

I still doubt the validity of the sleep test done based on lack of evidence as written in the study report. Mainly the omissions of facts, as water in tubing and the reason for waking up and why I could not return to sleep.

Overall, I was happy with the experience, but Jacob Patty seemed to be very nervous when he was talking to me. He really didn't explain things on the computer that were understandable. It needs to be broken down a little bit better and explained a little better. That's all. Bye.

It is very discouraging when you hear employees say things like, "That's not my job," or "I can't help you with that," instead of actually trying to help. Whether it be letting a person know whose job it IS or where they could go to try and find help. Or even at least make a simple phone call. The provider is great, but the support staff (nurses, MA's) not so much. Very disappointing.

Because of insurance, I am forced to go to the Mayo Store to get equipment for my CPAP. I asked the doctor to advocate with Mayo for better service and better quality of help from their employees. Mayo store employees have no knowledge of CPAP equipment, cannot advise on alternative equipment or upgrade of services. Going to the Mayo store is the equivalent of walking into Walmart and asking an employee about the quality of a given product. They have no clue. If I am stuck going to Mayo and giving them thousands of dollars worth of business the least they could do is find specialists who can consult with me about the best CPAP solutions for my situation. They are challenged to look up my history and get the correct hose for my machine. I am completely dissatisfied with this element of my healthcare. I shared this with the doctor and asked him to advocate for me with them. I do not have the impression he will take any action. I would like assistance in this regard.

The actual visit was fine. Your administration as a whole stinks. I had an assigned physician for three years and have yet to meet him. An annual scheduled appointment for my BPAP was canceled and I was unable to get my supplies. Keep this up and you will not need doctors because all your patients will go elsewhere.
