Chad M. Thurman, MD

Doc. Thurman is the Doctor of Doctors. He is so kind and genuine. He really takes his oath to help and preserve life seriously. Having no insurance at the moment, we have gone to the neighborhood clinic for most our needs. We have really missed him! He is our top pick! We are in the middle of figuring out what is happening to my health (which significantly has declined in the last years) but regardless the cost, we went back to him because we know he will help us figure out!! We trust him completely with our lives!!! We are so thankful to have him.

I always feel well cared for when I engage with staff at Gundersen.

I'm not one to run to the doctor whenever I feel bad. But when I do the whole staff, especially doctor Thurman take awesome care of me.

Dr. Thurman's demeanor is wonderful. He asks great questions and explains thoroughly so I can make informed decisions. Although I only see Dr. Thurman once a year for my annual physical, I feel that he remembers me and my circumstances. Overall, my visit was pleasant due to Dr. Thurman and those who support him.

Dr.Thurman and his staff of nurses went above and beyond to accomplish the test that needed to done on my wife.With a professional plan in place to get her test results.

I think the medical transcriptionist on the ipad facetime thing was weird and made the appointment seem awkward.

As always very good. However setting up a follow-up stress test with the cardio dept became a challenge. Either the extension in the GL system is erroneous or the staff doesn't get the voicemails (I assume they return them). Something to check. Thanks Details: The Onalaska receptionist was not able to join the stress test/cardio dept in Lacrosse after several attempts, but left a voice mail with the hope i will get a call back. 48 hrs later still no call from GL. I then called and left a voice mail to the dept (after having gone through the main GL number, i.e. being transfered to the dept). My call was not returned. The next day I called again and was able to reach the dept and set my appointment. Should be easier than that.

I am thankful for the care that Dr. Thurman provided! He was great at interacting with my kiddo and was thorough in providing details on the situation. It is clear that he is passionate about helping his patients. The entire Onalaska Family Med team is amazing!

Dr. Thurman is a wonderful doctor. He provides great care to my kids and myself. He listens well and helps my kids to feel very comfortable about having to see a doctor. He gives respect to my kids and talks to them about everything he's doing during the appointment. He remembers their interests and has conversations with them to help make them more relaxed.

Dr. Thurman is top notch! The nurse I had was also awesome as usual.

Dr. Chad is very through , asks questions to help me remember some possible health problems.

Dr. Thurman was attentive and thourough. I felt listened to during my visit. At the end of my visit, I felt much less stress about my illness as compared to prior to my visit. I am very pleased that I was able to get the appointment with Dr. Thurman. Although I was new to his care, I feel that he took the time to listen to me. Then his exam put me at ease that the plan of care he proposed would help me to feel better.

Dr. Thurman told me that my lungs were mushy. I wish he would have explained a little bit more what he meant by that, and give me examples of of what I can expect. And I would have liked to seen some kind of a x-ray, or picture, or something that you knew about this. Nor my lungs are mushy.

The young woman checking us in for registration seemed bored and put out during the entire process. She didn't smile once, and audibly sighed when I had questions. She was especially unhelpful when I asked her to confirm that this was a preventative visit. She seemed very put out by this and provided a very vague answer. I had to recheck with the nurse who had no idea and seemed extremely surprised that I asked. The doctor, luckily, explained the difference between the different visits and confirmed that it was a wellness preventative visit. I was pleased with the doctor but very disappointed with the registration staff. I felt she gave me a very hard time for just wanting to know what I might have to pay for copay. I will definitely try to avoid being checked in by her in the future.

I came in because I have allready been suffering shoulder pain for 2 weeks. I did not appreciate being told I had to suffer another 2 weeks before being recommended for an MRI or shot.

Dept seemed to run smoothly and everyone was very nice and helpful

No concerns about the providers who treated me. However I am concerned that seeing my main provider takes several days/weeks.

I absolutely love my provider- he understands me and my health problems- and his associates are also caring people!

It seemed we could have stayed as long as necessary to discuss the symptoms to determine what was going on. We even paused to call another family member to check on medical history and Dr Thurman talked to them because we couldn't pronounce the medical term. We have been with him for 16 years and he continues to be the most gentle, wise, guiding partner as we raise our kids. The X-ray and registration staff and nurse who called the next day were all attentive to our specific questions and kind.

Dr Thurman is thorough and easy to communicate with. You never have the feeling of being rushed.
