I have always appreciated Dr. Wolner and the staff there at Gundersen and I would highly recommend them to anyone that ever asked me. I only have good things to say about Gundersen. Dr. Wolner has always treated me with kindness and always been interested in me as a person and what's been in my life in the last year. His technician and nurse, very, very kind young lady, very busy woman and appreciated her having a one-on-one conversation with me as we did the exam. Both of them were very good and so, so appreciate Gundersen in every shape and way and form. Going to eye doc for years great provider

I appreciate the professionalism and being treated with respect.

When I made the appointment over the phone, the person who I spoke with was rather abrupt and rude. I have never had anyone at the clinic treat me that way before. My experience the day of the appointment was excellent.

I like the Winona clinic. Glad we have that option.

I recommended Dr. Wolner to my husband and he felt very good about Dr. Wolner's knowledge and care.

I have been going to Dr. Wolner long time and i trust him with my vision, he shows he cares lots and explains everthing well to me. I would recomend him to friends as im very pleased with him.

The receptionists (people at front desk check-in) should be more aware that not every patient know "knows the process" - what information is needed. I felt like I had to guess what the person wanted. Fortunately, I don't go to Gundersen very often. I got the feeling the receptionist was thinking "How long can I make this guy stand here and how uncomfortable can I make him?" Maybe it was just too early for that person to be at work. I had to initiate the check in conversation. Come to think, this has been a fairly common aspect of my visits with various people. Otherwise, everything else was exceptionally positive.

Having a doctor who you have been seeing for many years makes the visits easier because I feel comfortable asking questions and I trust him and the staff.

Both appointments for my children felt very rushed. They were scheduled later in the day and it felt as though they were being hurried through as quickly as possible as some staff were leaving for the day.

I always have a perfect experience in the vision center. It really doesn't bother me that Dr. Wolner can run late at times. He always spends time with me, and the other staff do too. It's a great experience to be treated kindly. To me, this is the most important part of health care.

I was told about a new process of dilation without the eye drops but they couldn't tell me if Quartz would cover it but they knew to tell me my insurance would cover new eye glasses??

this has to do with time expected to wait getting into a room , a month ago I showed up to my apt. and ALL sis rooms were full. Why do you over load the apts. My time is valuable too. I walked out. Yesterday I was to be first after arriving at 7;30 and they put someone in next room and telling me I would be first. If this continues I will go back to Winona Health.

My appointment was scheduled for 9am and the doctor came into the exam room just a few minutes before 10am. I always try to book as early as possible in the day, as the doctor is usually behind, but even that doesn't avoid a long wait.

Had my eye appointment, went there and got right in. Dr. Wolner is a great guy, goes over everything with me and I totally leave there understanding what I needed to know.

I enjoyed the visit with Dr.Wolner. He explained my options for cataract surgery very clearly. He was very personable and listened to my symptoms and explained their cause.

I think the staff that worked with me were kind and got my initial information done quickly. It was a wait, almost 40 minutes, but beyond that a great visit. I trust my provider and they are wonderful, so I am okay with waiting.

Each person took time to give me the attention they and I feel I needed. They were complete and thorough. They were caring. Each liked being there and treated my experience like more than a job for them. I was their center.

The technician who did my initial tests typed on the computer continuously so loudly that I didn't know if she was listening to my answers to the eye test. She said she had the lines all memorized, but why all the typing?

It was very positive.

Everytime I come we sit and wait 40 Minutes to be seen by the doctor this is too Long time is valuable if he needs more time for appointments then schedule them better

Appointment went very well; was disappointed however that I had an eye exam there, stopped in and needed to get my glasses fixed but was told since I didnt buy them there had to pay a charge?

The check in staff told me my insurance was not accepted there and I had to prepay.. I now find out that wasn't True Check in staff need know there info and know how to look it up and be sure patients are given correct information....

Dr Wolner is very personable and has cared for my eyes for many years. His advice to try bifocal contacts has saved me many years of great vision without having to wear glasses

Everyone from the staff check-in, to the nurses, to the doctor, to the optical technician who helped me find frames and gave me a quote on eyeglasses were wonderful. Great visit!

I was very disappointed. It seemed as though he did not have time for me. I was in for three things: exam, neurology optic, and checkup for cataracts issues. He only addressed the neurology and did not want to discuss other issues I was having. I felt like he was brushing me off. I go again next week and if he is the same way, I will be thinking of switching to a different facility for my eyes. I have been very patient for the past 5 month and it seems like he does not listen. The tech was fantastic and definitely understood where I was coming from and was more than willing to listen to me even though she may not be able to assist me. She was very reassuring and made me feel like I was just not another number. I hope this improves because I will switch and will not refer this provider in the future.

Exam not as thorough as usual! Seemed rushed.

So, I couldn't pay my bill that night because nobody at the registration desk was there. Someone was supposed to call me on Friday. They didn't. I have called today. I have not received a call back so that I could pay on that day for the reduced rates. It would be nice if people would call you back in a timely manner, especially when it comes to the bill.

Emplyee said "all the rooms were full , that they were double-booked."

Only negative: there was a receptionist who completely ignored me - kept looking down and did not appear to be doing anything. She wasn't on the phone nor working on her computer. It seemed she just didn't want to be bothered. The other receptionist who has helped me in the past finished with her patient and then helped me. She was excellent. I even asked the first person if she was available but she didn't acknowledge me.

Always amazing care from the eye clinic!!

Staff was really good at handling my dad with dementia and bad hearing. They were very patient with him. Everyone was great from the assistant/nurse, Dr. Wolner, and the person fitting the glasses.

I would prefer that the provider's notes be posted on mychart for me to read.
