Community Contributions

Gundersen Health System defines community contributions as grants, gifts and sponsorships which are meant to support activities, programs and services linked to Gundersen's mission. The mission statement reads: We distinguish ourselves through excellence in patient care, education, research and improved health in the communities we serve.

As funds are limited, priority consideration will be given to requests that:

  • Serve or support needs identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment
  • Promote health and wellness
  • Provide civic, community and economic development

Gundersen Health System will not provide funding for the following:

  • Political activities
  • Requests from individuals
  • Medical expenses for individuals
  • For-profit entities
  • Trips/travel/teams

Your organization must be a verified non-profit organization, school or government agency to receive any funding.

Gundersen Health System's Community Contributions Committee meets every other month to discuss financial requests. The committee is comprised of representatives from Gundersen's Administration, Office of Population Health, Business Health, Human Resources, Marketing, Gundersen Medical Foundation, Partners of Gundersen Health System and the community.

2023 meeting dates: Mondays, February 6, April 3, June 5, August 7, October 2 and December 4. All requests must be received TWO week prior to meeting dates. It is important to note that additional processing may be necessary, so final decisions and notifications are usually made within two weeks of the meeting date.

Please note: This process is for Gundersen's Community Contributions Committee and does not apply to affiliate hospital requests.
