Looking for someone that is organized and has a high attention to detail. This position works closely/partners with medical staff (providers) to complete their credentialing needs. Are you adaptable, professional and able to communicate effectively (verbal/written)? This position may be for you!

What does a Credentialing Assistant do:

Assists in processing credentialing and re-credentialing applications of health care providers.

What will this position look like:

1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)

Shift: Monday - Friday, Days (Core Business Hours - 7:00AM-5:00PM)

Location: Onsite, La Crosse

**Remote Eligible once appropriately trained (IA, MN, WI ONLY)**

Department: Credentialing

Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education

Job Description:

Assists in processing credentialing and re-credentialing applications of health care providers.

Major Responsibilities:

1.    Reviews applications, prepares verification letters and maintains database.

2.    Contacts medical office staff, licensing agencies, and insurance carriers to complete credentialing and re-credentialing applications.

3.    Completes administrative duties, such as ensuring state medical licenses are up-to-date and checking the status of new license applications.

4.    Ensures compliance with accreditation standards and legal requirements related to the Medical staff.

5.    Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education
