Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, WI, is seeking a 0.8 to 1.0 FTE Clinical Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) to join the Behavioral Health Department.   The applicant must have completed an APA approved internship, have completed a postdoctoral fellowship, and currently be licensed or license eligible in the state of Wisconsin.

This psychologist would be an active member of our highly collaborative, multidisciplinary bariatric surgery team of 3 surgeons, 4 dietitians, 2 physician assistants, and bariatrician. This is a clinical position with responsibilities including: pre- operative psychological evaluation, and pre- and post-operative intervention and support. Additionally, the clinician would be involved in leading bariatric surgery support groups. Interested clinicians could also expand their work to include seeing patients for medical or behavioral weight management needs.

As a member of the Behavioral Health Department, the psychologist will join a collegial team of adult and pediatric outpatient psychologists. Opportunities for involvement in collaboration groups as well as teaching and supervision of master’s prepared therapists and psychology post-doctoral fellows is also available.
