Responsibilities include coordinating and executing general carpentry projects in the Clinics and Regional facilities. Perform this work and/ or coordinating project personnel, resources, supplies and equipment in the department and promotes collaboration with internal and external customers. Responsible for leading multiple projects at a time, within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Working with customers by coordinating and completing the carpentry request
2. Office modifications - Casework modifications or light casework fabrication
3. Finish carpentry, Painting, Flooring
4. At times this role can include overall maintenance, service and repair work on clinic and regional facilities: plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration facilities and equipment.
5. Conduct periodic inspections of designated buildings and equipment; when necessary, repair and perform preventive maintenance on general building facilities and electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and equipment.
6. Perform or assist with major and minor repairs of electrical, plumbing, heating, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment as needed.
7. Advise management of general condition of facilities and equipment and any unusual problems or concerns that may arise; make recommendations for facilities improvements or upgrades.
8. Maintain appropriate documentation of maintenance and repair records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and codes.
9. Carries a Medical Examiner's Certificate at all times while driving a commercial motor vehicle (DOT).
10. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Education and Learning:
REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalency
DESIRED
High School Diploma or equivalency + additional training
Work Experience:
REQUIRED
3-4 years of Carpentry experience.
DESIRED
8-10 years of experience in carpentry, combined with proven ability to manage a variety of projects with varying levels of complexity to completion.
1 year Healthcare building maintenance and repair experience.
License and Certifications:
REQUIRED
Valid Driver's License (DL)
