Gundersen Boscobel observes National Rehabilitation Awareness Week
Gundersen Boscobel Rehab Team
Gundersen Boscobel Hospital and Clinics will honor our dedicated therapists during National Rehabilitation Awareness Week Sept. 15-21.
The week provides a time to reflect on the value of rehabilitation and highlight these professionals who care for our families, friends and neighbors.
"Rehab therapists are made of patience, understanding, humor and a thorough knowledge of muscles," said Robyn Moritz, Gundersen Boscobel's rehab services director. "They spend their days helping improve other people's lives. From musculoskeletal issues to stroke, they're cheerleaders for recovery. This week, we're cheering them on with our gratitude for their compassionate care in changing lives."
Our physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists work cohesively to help patients overcome obstacles and accomplish normal tasks of daily living. Together, they help patients reach their highest level of independence.
These certified professionals with advanced education deliver comprehensive, evidence-based therapy, through individualized plans for patients with a variety of mobility issues, fitness levels and goals.
Our therapists can help you:
- Recover from joint replacements, orthopedic surgery and weakness
- Manage the effects of stroke, Parkinson's Disease and other neurological conditions
- Improve language, cognitive function and swallowing disorders
- Treat dizziness, chronic swelling and urinary incontinence
