Gundersen Tri-County donates to local organizations

As part of their mission to Improve the Health of Our Communities, Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics recently made monetary donations to Feed My People food bank and D.A.R.E. of Trempealeau County.

At this year's Trempealeau County Fair Livestock Auction, Gundersen Tri-County purchased a hog from Maggie Lindberg of Whitehall. Gundersen Tri-County then sold raffle tickets for chance to win one of three bundles of meat. The meat raffle raised $462 which was given to the Feed My People food bank.

During this year's Running of the Beef event, Gundersen Tri-County hosted a basket raffle. Employees donated items for the seven baskets and then sold tickets for chance to win the baskets. The raffle along with the race raised $1,217. Gundersen Tri-County donated those profits to the Trempealeau County D.A.R.E. program.

"We are always looking for ways to make a difference in our community beyond our hospital and clinic walls," explains Joni Olson, CEO, Gundersen Tri-County. "I am very proud of our staff who offer their talent, skills and time to put towards these community efforts. We are committed to making a difference."
