The benefits of quitting tobacco use can be experienced as early as 20 minutes after your last use, where your heart rate and blood pressure return to normal levels. After just 12 hours of no tobacco use, carbon monoxide levels in your blood return to normal and the oxygen in your blood increases. After 48 hours, your chance of having a heart attack has already begun to decrease. Indeed, one year after quitting smoking, your risk of coronary heart disease is cut in half.
Prepare to quit!
Quitting smoking and the use of tobacco products is a marathon, not a sprint, and likewise, you need a coach to help you prepare for the journey.
