While they are all here to help you, meeting so many new faces—often at your first appointment in Gundersen’s Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders—can feel overwhelming. Meet your cancer team

  • Medical Oncologist

    Are part of, and often manage, a multidisciplinary team working together to treat your cancer.

  • Radiation Oncologist

    Work with a team to develop, monitor and adjust treatments for patients undergoing radiation therapy.

  • Surgical Oncologist

    Surgery is performed to diagnose, stage and treat cancer and some related symptoms.

  • Registered Nurses

    Assist in coordinating care, assure patient access to necessary providers and educate patients throughout treatment.

  • ACS(American Cancer Society)Navigator

    Helps with financial and logistical obstacles related to transportation, housing and more.

  • Palliative Care

    Provides a holistic approach to physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

  • Prior Authorization Specialists

    Ensure patients receive the maximum benefit from their insurance providers before treatment is scheduled.

  • Financial Advocates

    Educate on insurance coverage, benefits, and hospital bills and provide access to resources for current and futuer medical expenses.
