Resolve Through Sharing® Bereavement Education since 1981

October is RTS Founders Month, celebrating 37 years of Bereavement Education

The introduction of Resolve Through Sharing® (RTS) in 1981 pioneered a system-wide approach to bereavement care. The program developed from an interprofessional team's interest in creating a way of caring for parents when a baby died that was sensitive, compassionate, and inclusive of the post-hospitalization time.

Today, we offer grief support materials and industry-leading comprehensive perinatal, neonatal, pediatric, and adult death bereavement training to healthcare professionals globally, to help them provide outstanding family-centered bereavement care to patients and families.

This month, Resolve Through Sharing acknowledges the groundbreaking work of Rana Limbo, Kathryn Hill Goettl, Carolyn Smiley Beguin, Sarah Wheeler, and others, as we reflect on the early history and work of our program.

Follow our special RTS Founders Month Facebook posts, every Monday in October!

Resolve Through Sharing® (RTS) teaches you and your organization proven evidence-based, compassion-first approaches to bereavement care. Our demonstrated "gold standard" bereavement education evolved over three decades of experience. We have trained more than 50,000 healthcare professionals worldwide, in all kinds of organizations—from small-town hospitals to the United States military.

Why implement RTS in your hospital?

  • By investing in RTS training and support materials, you deliver the kind of care you know patients and their families need —and deserve — in their time of loss and grief.
  • RTS systems help your organization meet regulatory and best practice standards.
  • It's the right way to approach bereavement care

How does your organization measure up?
What quality of bereavement care does your organization provide?
