Your bill may show clinic and hospital charges even when you receive care in the clinic. This is because many clinic departments became hospital departments on June 1, 2013.

Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, Inc., and Gundersen Clinic in La Crosse, Wis., have a Patient Business Services department. The Patient Business Services department is not in the business of supplying information to patients regarding the patient's business decisions, but rather is responsible for the management of accounts receivable. Patient Business Service does not supply information for the guidance of others in making business decisions with third parties.
