Gundersen offers a variety of support groups to help patients and their families deal with any challenges that may stem from an injury or illness. The support groups provide a comfortable, open environment to share experiences and offer emotional support to others facing similar challenges.
Bariatic Surgery Support Groups
Interact with others who have gone through similar weight-loss challenges and receive encouragement and support from our experts. We offer separate support groups for:
- Patients considering bariatric surgery or those in the first year after surgery
- Patients more than a year after surgery
- Patients who have had a sleeve gastrectomy
Cancer Center Support Group
The Cancer Center Support Group gives adult cancer patients and their caregivers a safe, confidential place to share feelings and experiences with others whose lives are affected by cancer.
Prostate Cancer Support Group
The Prostate Cancer Support Group provides a safe, confidential place for men to share challenges and experiences, and receive support throughout all stages of treatment.
Living in Pink Breast Cancer Support Group
The Living in Pink Breast Cancer Support Group is a place for women coping with breast cancer to share feelings and experiences and receive support throughout all stages of their treatment.

Are you living with diabetes? This six week workshop will teach you ways to live with and better manage your condition.
