At Gundersen’s libraries, Patient Education Librarians will help you locate information you need to make informed decisions about your healthcare. At each location, you'll have access to books, CDs, DVDs, health magazines and much more.

La Crosse Libraries
The John & Nettie Mooney Library is located on the first level of the Hospital. In the unique space you’ll find books and videos about health topics, computers with Internet access, a children’s area with books and activities, and much more.
The John & Nettie Mooney Library - East with the Stanek Cancer Library is located in the Hematology/Oncology waiting room on Level Two of the East Building. It includes materials about many different types of cancer, cancer diagnosis and treatment, nutrition, coping with cancer and treatment side effects. You will also find information about neurosciences, pain management, ophthalmology and plastic surgery. Music players are also available for patient use during treatment at the clinic.
The John & Nettie Mooney Library - Onalaska is located on the fourth level of the Onalaska Clinic. In it you’ll find books, videos and magazines about a variety of health topics, including pregnancy, eyes and vision, heart health and more. Topics specifically for women include pregnancy, menopause, incontinence, bone density testing, chronic pelvic pain, behavioral health, sexuality care and counseling, nutrition and physical therapy, beauty, acupuncture and more. We hope you’ll enjoy the library’s comfortable reading area and complimentary beverages.
