Program Therapist

Senior Life Solutions, developed by Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC), is an intensive outpatient psychiatric program designed to meet the needs of adults over the age of 65 who are struggling with issues such as depression or anxiety that can often be related to aging. The patient is offered services by an interdisciplinary team of caring, experienced, behavioral health professionals, which includes a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapist, and registered nurse. PMC operates over 50 programs nationally.

JOB OVERVIEW: Therapist provides quality social services for clients with group, individual, and family therapy sessions, with a special emphasis on discharge planning needs.

  • Therapy sessions are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday  
  • Someone who has experience and loves the geriatric community 
  • Small team structure. The ability to thrive in working with a small, close knit team and a commitment to patient care.

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of Social Work or Master's Degree in other counseling related field.

LICENSURE: License in Social Work or Counseling as recognized by state.  Must have LISW licensure.

CERTIFICATION: Must meet any applicable state certification standards.

EXPERIENCE: Two to three years of clinical experience with older persons, extensive group work, hospital or nursing home experience preferred.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of community resources for older persons, knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and insurance requirements as these relate to continuing care. Familiarity with medical terminology and conditions as these impact discharge needs. Familiarity with medical team roles and with the functioning of other hospital departments. Knowledge of effective individual and group communication techniques.

Family Practice ARNP or PA-C

0.8 FTE position with a weekend rotation working out of the West Union Clinic to cover the Walk-in Clinic. The Walk-In Clinic hours are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Weekends 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Required to be able to provide flexibility in covering Walk-in Clinic needs. Performs the functions of examining, assessing, planning and implementing the health care of assigned patients in collaboration and under the general supervision of a licensed physician. Requires excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a strong desire to work with a diverse patient population. Must be able to apply diverse principles of logic, medical or scientific thinking to a wide range of health care situations. Ability to apply accepted methods of treatment and creative new developments to heath care problems. 

ARNP must possess a Masters of Science in Nursing granted by an accredited college or university, and is qualified for certification as a nurse practitioner. A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa, current certifications as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Iowa.

PA-C must be a graduate of and accredited physician assistant program.  NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) certified or eligible; and licensed or eligible for licensure by the Medical Examining Board(s) of the state of Iowa.

Looking for individual with experience in obstetrics or emergency services, but willing to consider candidate with willingness to cross-train into these areas. Home Health/Hospice RN

Full-time Home Health/Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) out of the Oelwein office. Will work 36-40hrs/week Monday-Friday. Will work or be on call every 4-5th weekend. Limited weeknight call. Rehab Visions COTA

Rehab Visions COTAs work closely with the supervising occupational therapist and follow through with treatment plans for patients.
