Gundersen Specialty Outreach Services will move to downtown Winona
With added patient convenience and continuation of quality care in mind, Gundersen Health System plans to move its Winona specialty outreach services in late May from Winona Health's main campus to downtown Winona.
Gundersen specialty outreach services currently provided at Winona Health's main campus will move to the 111 Riverfront Building near the corner of Walnut and East Second Street. These services include:
Audiology and Ear, Nose and Throat (Otolaryngology) will remain at Winona Health, but move downtown at a later date.
"We are committed to providing care close to home," says Gundersen chief executive officer Scott Rathgaber, MD. "For more than 30 years, Gundersen has provided specialty outreach services in Winona, and we will continue that well into the future. I'm excited for the opportunities this move creates in vibrant downtown Winona and for our continued work with Winona Health to improve patients' and the community's health and well-being."
"This is a great opportunity for Winona Health and Gundersen to use clinical space in the best way possible, strengthen medical care in our community, and ensure our clinical partnership remains strong for years to come," says Rachelle Schultz, EdD, chief executive officer, Winona Health. "We will each make sure patients, clinicians and staff are supported during this transition, and look toward future opportunities to enhance care for those we serve in Winona and the surrounding area."
The 111 Riverfront Building currently houses Gundersen Sports Medicine Winona and Gundersen Dental Specialties Winona. Gundersen Eye Clinic Winona is also located on this same downtown Winona block, creating one convenient location for Gundersen patients.
Current patients will receive move information in the mail and through Gundersen MyCare. Patients with questions can call Gundersen at (608) 782-7300 or Winona Health at (507) 457-7696.
