Gundersen Prairie du Chien Clinic welcomes new provider
Chelsea DeMuth, PA-C
Chelsea DeMuth, PA-C, is the newest member of Gundersen Prairie du Chien's Family Medicine team and provides the spectrum of care for all ages, focusing on community health, preventive medicine and primary care innovation.
"I look forward to making a positive difference in my patients' lives and helping them understand their medical conditions," says DeMuth, who is originally from Hazel Green, Wis. "I am eager to establish relationships with patients and coworkers. I am also excited for the opportunity to work with pediatric patients."
As a University of Wisconsin-La Crosse student, DeMuth volunteered at Gundersen and worked alongside Gundersen Medical Foundation, as UW-L Pre-Physician Assistant Club president, on lung cancer research fundraising. She also worked as a certified nursing assistant at Bethany Lutheran Home of La Crosse while in college.
"Through these experiences, I discovered how caring and compassionate the Gundersen staff is," says DeMuth. "The Prairie Du Chien Clinic grabbed my eye the most because I am a very family-oriented person looking to practice in a small town. I love that in family medicine I will be able to care for a wide variety of ages and health conditions."
When she's not caring for patients, DeMuth likes to spend time on the river, ride utility terrain vehicles, play board games and cards, plus make arts and crafts. Of course, she loves to spend time with family and friends.
DeMuth joins Walter Boisvert, MD; Rochelle Neisius, NP; Tammy Plondke, NP; and Tom Whetston, PA-C, in Family Medicine at Gundersen Prairie du Chien Clinic.
