Gundersen event to help 'Shine a Light' on lung cancer

During Lung Cancer Awareness Month this November, Gundersen Health System is joining communities throughout the nation to give lung cancer the attention it deserves.

On Tuesday, Nov. 1, Gundersen will host the fifth annual Shine a Light on Lung Cancer event at 6 p.m. at Gundersen's Integrated Center for Education (ICE House), 1827 Sims Place, La Crosse.

Following refreshments and light hors d'oeuvres, a presentation will take place at 6:50 p.m. by Gundersen medical oncologist Kurt Oettel, MD, and Gundersen oncology researcher Pariac Kenny, PhD. They will be joined by lung cancer survivors and members of Living For Liz who will remember and honor those with lung cancer.

Space is limited, so call Gundersen Medical Foundation at (608) 775-6600 to reserve your spot. Reservations are due Friday, Oct. 28.

Shine a Light on Lung Cancer is made possible by Gundersen Medical Foundation, the Lung Cancer Alliance and Living For Liz.
