Deficit Reduction Act Notice

On February 8, 2006, the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (DRA) was signed into law. This is a federal law which contains provisions designed to curb fraud in the Medicaid arena. Gundersen has developed policies and education for employees, consultants, independent contractors, vendors and suppliers regarding healthcare fraud laws, policies and procedures for preventing and detecting fraud and abuse and the rights of employees to act as whistleblowers.

Gundersen's Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 - False Claims Act and Whistleblowers (GL-3014) policy provides both general and specific information on the provisions of federal and state false claims acts, the whistleblower protections afforded under the act and Gundersen’s policies and procedures for detecting and preventing fraud, waste and abuse.
