Take our healthy weight assessment
An unhealthy weight can cause a variety of problems such as heart disease, diabetes, sleep problems, joint pain, trouble breathing and difficulty living an active life.
According to the recent National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys, fewer than 30 percent of adults are in a healthy weight range. That means that nearly seven out of 10 adults weigh more than they should. In fact, some people who should lose weight to protect their health don't know they're overweight.
Determining your healthy weight and taking steps to achieve and/or maintain a healthy weight is one of the best things you can do for your long-term health. By completing this free risk assessment, you'll learn if you're in the healthy weight-range. You'll also get a list of quality-of-life indicators and health concerns that may be related to your current weight.
HEALTHY WEIGHT ASSESSMENT
Although not required, for the most accurate risk assessment results you should know your waist measurement, blood pressure, cholesterol and fasting blood sugar levels. For Gundersen patients, most of this information can be found on your MyCare account.
Losing weight is never easy but if you are ready to make a change, many options are available through Gundersen Weight Management. To ask questions or to schedule an appointment with a Gundersen registered dietitian, please call (608) 775-5673.
