The new chief executive officer (CEO) of Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics was born and raised in Trempealeau County and is a 40-year resident of rural Blair.

Joni was also manager of Radiology from 1978 to 1999 at what was then Tri-County Memorial Hospital in Whitehall before becoming manager of Regional Radiology for Gundersen Health System.

"It's an honor to be able to come full circle, beginning in patient care at Tri-County Memorial and now to a role where I can serve those who provide patient care and care for our community."

Joni was most recently administrative director for Gundersen Imaging. She has also served as manager for the Norma J. Vinger Center for Breast Care and a manager of Gundersen Radiology.

In her first few months on the job, Joni has taken time to meet Gundersen Tri-County staff, listen to their stories and ideas, and work with them on strategic planning.

"Our care and services extend well beyond our walls at Gundersen Tri-County. We need to collaborate and work with our community to provide needed services to patients and families in our entire service area.

"I am extremely proud of the clinicians and staff providing care on behalf of our facilities. I want Gundersen Tri-County to be the primary provider of care for our service area. With support and feedback from our patients, families and communities, we will succeed together."
