Weight loss can be a daunting task, but when you play it smart, shedding pounds isn’t as impossible as once thought. Over the past seven years, more than 1,200 Gundersen employees and their friends and family members have participated in the Smartest Loser program. To date, over 7,400 pounds have been lost. Last year alone, participants lost over 1750 pounds! Participants have reduced their weight enough to be in a lower BMI category, have noted improvement in the way their clothes fit and have noticed a positive improvement in their energy level. Overall improvement was also seen in days exercised, fruit and vegetable consumption and water consumption.
