The purpose of this conference is to introduce new evidence & research as well as review current standards on frequently encountered subject matter in the primary care setting.

Registration Details

Registration deadline is Thursday, February 21, 2019. Registrations will not be accepted after that date. Advance registration is required. Registration fees include light breakfast, lunch and certificate.

Certificates will be emailed to attendees within four weeks of date of the conference. An email will be sent to registered participants the week of the conference with parking information and other details about the conference.

  • $35 Gundersen Health System and affiliate nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and others
  • $50 Gundersen Health System and affiliate physicians

Intended Audience and Purpose: This program is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents and any others who have an interest in Primary Care. The purpose of this conference is to introduce new evidence and research as well as review current standards on frequently encountered subject matter in the primary care setting.

Course Objectives

  • Construct a discussion with a patient regarding the health risks of vaping
  • Define medical contraindications to contraceptive use using the CDC Medical Eligibility Criteria for initiating contraception
  • Synthesize a treatment plan for different types of obstructive lung disease
  • Explain how to perform initial evaluation and treatment of iron deficiency anemia
  • Master the concept of weaning patients from opioids and/or benzodiazepines

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be requested via email or phone prior to February 21, 2019. A refund minus a $25 administration fee will be issued. No refunds will be made after February 21, 2019.

If the Primary Care Winter Refresher 2019 is postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of registration fees will be provided. Gundersen Medical Foundation Inc. will not be responsible for any related travel costs to the conference.
