This program is designed for physicians, NPs, PAs, residents, medical students, advanced nursing students & any others who have an interest in Primary Care.

Registration Details

Registration is closed.

The registration deadline is Thursday, February 22, 2018. Registrations will not be accepted after that date. Advance registration is required. Registration fees include light breakfast, lunch and certificate. Certificates will be emailed to attendees within four weeks of date of the conference. An email will be sent the week of the conference to registered participants with parking information and other details about the conference.

  • $35 Gundersen Health System and affiliate nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and others
  • $50 Gundersen Health System and affiliate physicians
  • $100 Non-Gundersen nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and others

Intended Audience and Purpose: This program is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents and any others who have an interest in Primary Care to introduce new evidence and research as well as review current standards on frequently encountered subject matter in the primary care setting.

Course Objectives

  • Demonstrate an approach for the optimal management of the complex patient with diabetes
  • Describe appropriate care for infants born to mothers using drugs and medications prenatally
  • Review the symptoms and signs of importance in the setting of a patient with new joint pain - including a preliminary work-up
  • Describe special health concerns and routine screening for adults with Down Syndrome
  • Describe the different types of alcoholism and how that impacts treatment
  • Summarize interpretation of foundational pulmonary function tests (PFTs)

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be requested via email or phone prior to February 22, 2018. A refund minus a $25 administration fee will be issued. No refunds will be made after February 22, 2018.

If the Primary Care Winter Refresher 2018 is postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of registration fees will be provided. Gundersen Medical Foundation Inc. will not be responsible for any related travel costs to the conference.
