Intended Audience: Psychologists, therapists, social workers and other behavioral health professionals. Intermediate to advanced level of instruction is appropriate for each session.
Accreditation: Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation Inc. is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation Inc. maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation Inc., provider # 1089, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Upon completion of this conference, the attendees should be able to:
- Utilize the Hawaiian therapeutic technique of Ho’oponopono to relieve their own stress and discomfort as well as the stress and discomfort of their clients
- Describe how to safely use guided imagery to lessen pain and suffering in their patients/clients
- Use simple methods of therapeutic touch in a safe and respectful manner
- Discuss how to “tap into” client’s own psycho-spiritual resources to facilitate their own self-worth and self-help
- Explain the additional complementary therapies in Virtual Dreams and the Tibetan Buddhist technique of Tonglen
This session is approved for 4 CE/clock hours through your choice of APA or ASWB sponsorship. You must attend the full four-hour session and complete the evaluation to receive credit. Partial credit is not available for this conference.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be requested via email or phone prior to March 21, 2019. A refund minus a $25 administration fee will be issued. No refunds will be made after March 21, 2019.
If the 2019 Behavioral Medicine Spring Conference is postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund of registration fees will be provided. Gundersen Medical Foundation Inc. will not be responsible for any related travel costs to the conference.
