Meet our new 2018-19 CMN Hospitals Heroes
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Gundersen is very lucky to have some remarkable children helping to raise awareness by sharing their stories. For everything they've been through in their young lives, some may even say these kids are heroes. They are truly heroes to us.
The new CMN Hospital Heroes for 2018-19 are:
- Lane Cade, Westby, Wis., acute lymphoblastic leukemia
- Maddy Frank, Whitehall, Wis., cystic fibrosis
- Lyla Alameida, Brownsville, Minn., trisomy 18
- Jude Schipper, Holmen, Wis., spina bifida, absent leg
- Dawson Schultz, Rollingstone, Minn., type 1 diabetes
All of our Heroes and their families have received support from CMN Hospitals. They are now generously helping to raise funds and awareness along with local sponsors and media. In essence, they are paying it forward, helping other children in our communities struggling with serious illnesses and injuries. Money raised for CMN Hospitals at Gundersen provides support for kids no matter what their diagnoses or where they receive their care.
Throughout the year, these Heroes along with CMN Hospitals sponsors (also heroes in our hearts) will host fun events to raise money for CMN Hospitals. All the money they raise will stay local to help area kids.
To learn more about our Heroes, go to gundersenhealth.org/heroes and read their amazing stories. While you're there, please consider making a donation in support of our Heroes and all that CMN Hospitals does to help sick and injured children in our communities.
