ROUTINE: Lower KUB to demonstrate urethra.

DISTANCE: 40”

BUCKY: YES

FOCAL SPOT: Large

IMAGING PLATE: 14x17 CR cassette

CENTRAL RAY: Perpendicular to film centered at urethra.

HELPFUL POSITIONING: Place top of film at umbilicus, bottom of film approximately mid-thigh.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

  1. CONTRAST: CONRAY 30 
  2. PROCEDURE: EW provides a sterile cup for the contrast, KY gel, and catheter. The attending physician injects 15 cc’s of contrast. The x-ray technologist makes the exposure on command of the physician.
  3. There is no extra charge for the Conray 30.
