Ian was born in La Crosse, Wis., and grew up just over the border in Waukon, Iowa. He graduated from Wartburg College with a bachelor's degree in Biology. Ian attended Midwestern University’s College of Health Sciences, where he received a master’s degree in Biomedical Science. Ian choose to attend medical school at Midwestern University's Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has several clinical interests, including OB, preventative care and rural medicine. After graduating from residency, Ian would like to practice full-scope medicine in a small town in Iowa or Wisconsin. During his free time, Ian enjoys hiking, singing, playing board games and visits with family and friends.
