Importance of Prevention
Keeping your employees healthy and on the job, is key to a healthy bottom line. While some injuries and illness can't be avoided, many can with proper education and preventive measures. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, stress, obesity, inactivity, poor nutrition, smoking and diabetes are just some of the risk factors for illness.
A Customized Program
Gundersen coordinates worksite health and wellness events for employers throughout the tri-state region. Each client has unique needs. We work closely with employers to create a program that matches their needs, based on workplace demographics and other factors. We offer a wide range of health information and screenings to include in a health fair, as well as several Lifestyle Management wellness programs for employees.
Some of our most common screenings include:
- Blood pressure
- Body composition analysis
- Fitness & athletic assessments
- Health Risk Appraisals (HRA)
- Hearing - Audiograms
- Skin cancer
- Vaccinations, such as tetanus and influenza
- Others as requested
Designed to be flexible, we can customize our screenings to your specifications. There are typically no costs associated with setting up a Health Fair - Screening Program. You only pay for screenings performed or shots given. Our services usually pay for themselves by reducing sick days and doctors visits.
Once risk factors are identified, we can offer a variety of lifestyle management programs to help your employees make positive lifestyle changes. Program topics are divided into the following categories:
- Weight management classes & individual counseling with a registered dietitian
- Fitness activities and walking programs
- Stress management training
- Smoking cessation programs and counseling
- Injury prevention programs
Costs for these, and other, programs can be provided upon request.
