Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics Foundation

The Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics Foundation was established in 1990 for the sole purpose of supporting the programs and services of Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and Clinics.

Thanks to overwhelming community response, the Foundation has worked with department managers to acquire pieces of equipment that improve the quality of health care offered to our patients. All funds raised are used for the benefit of the Hospital and represent local support for local healthcare.

All contributions are greatly appreciated, tax deductible, and recognized by the Foundation.

Ways to give

The Foundation provides funds for new equipment, facility improvement, and special projects that improve healthcare for you, your family, and your community—programs and equipment that are possible because of the generosity of people like you. There are several ways to make a gift to the Foundation that will leave a legacy of quality healthcare.

You can make a gift right now that is unrestricted and will be used to fund areas of greatest need, or work with the director to designate your gift to a particular project or fund.

Gifts can be made by donating:

  • Cash or checks
  • Stocks or bonds
  • Property

Remember or honor someone

Memorials provide lasting recognition of deceased friends and loved ones. Memorial can also be established so that others may donate.

Honor gifts are a way to celebrate life, recognize a special person or life event, or express good wishes. These gifts are wonderful ways to mark marriages, anniversaries, birthdays, or say thank you to volunteers, doctors, or nurses.

Annual appeal

The annual appeal mailing goes out in November and provides a strong base of revenue for project funding for the following year. Please contact the Foundation Director to make sure that you are on the mailing list.

Multi-year pledges

Multi-year pledges allow the donor to make a larger gift and to determine a manageable donation schedule. The Foundation benefits from a solid, predictable base of support.

The Foundation can also assist with planned giving

Planned gifts offer several benefits to the donor, including providing an ongoing income stream, easing your current tax liability, and reducing capital gains tax or future estate tax. Deferred gifts can support the Foundation without impact on your current income or lifestyle. Donors can designate the Foundation as a beneficiary of retirement plan assets or life insurance policies.

Planned gifts also include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, life estate contracts, charitable lead trusts, and pooled income funds. Please contact your financial advisor for details. Bequests from a properly executed will, living trust, inter vivos trust, or testamentary trust will be accepted in accord with the donor’s wishes and in accord with the mission and purposes of the Foundation. The Board reserves the right to refuse all or part of any bequest that does not serve to further the missions of the Hospital or the Foundation, or for any other reason determined by the Board.

All donations are recognized and are used for the benefit of the Hospital and its patients and staff.
